FYI: I fixed my truck. It cost me.... 2 hours. The main cable coming off of the positive connection on my battery had completely corroded through. Not very easy to notice, considering the plastic shielding was still intact, and the corrosion obviously occurred inside of it. I cut it, crimped on a new loop, and 'whala!' she came back to life. The weird thing was, I am really careful to keep my battery in tip-top shape... cause of the environment that I live in. I guess I need to check a little closer.
Oooo Your Beard is Itchy!
It appears to me that a lot of men these days are becoming rather submissive to their female counterparts. It's sort of bugging me. I mean, where are your backbones? Or maybe this is why I'm not married.
Now, before everyone flames me... let me explain. I'm totally NOT saying that we shouldn't try to make our woman happy. It is TOTALLY appropriate for a man to do things to make his wife/girlfriend happy. Especially if its something you don't care about. But COME'ON.... are you kidding me?
In the past few days I have just become more and more anti-relationship. It almost seems that once you're past the uncomfortable stage in a relationship, that both parties start to almost make demands. Suddenly, you have to do this, and say that, and look like this. Men do this too... I'm not completely stupid. I'm aware that we ask our women to do things that we like, etc.
If you didn't like the guy the way he was when you met him, then don't waste your time. I find it even more amazing that a lot of guys don't even realize it when it's happening. They say, "Oh, I wanted to do that anyways." This is pure bullshit. If they really did, then they would have without her mentioning it.
I have a coworker that is married. I cringe everytime I come to work and find him on the phone with her. Cause I know, I'm in for listening to her whining over the phone about how he SHOULD do this, and SHOULD do that.
I have friends who's wives sit at home ALL DAY with the kids, (Which, yes... is a difficult job... I'm not saying it isn't) while their husband is out working for 10 hours. But he gets in trouble for coming home, and plopping down on the couch exhausted. She wants him to empty the trash, run to the store, change this diaper. Then she's on him cause she wants him to go shave cause his face is itchy, and he's not allow to play Xbox except for twice a week or something. My hell... give the guy a break. This irritates me even more when its something she could TOTALLY do. It appears that she purposely waits until he's comfortable, on the couch watching the news, playing xbox, or talking on the phone... and then she'll be standing a foot from the trash and ask him to come over an empty it. Why can't SHE do it?
So, he wants to play xbox, and his face is itchy. Is she really going to whine about that? I mean, he DOESN'T drink, DOESN'T smoke, DOESN'T cheat on her, and IS a good father and husband. BUT, he didn't empty the trash, or change the diaper in five minutes of getting home, after being screamed at by ornery customers, etc.
Would a man every complain if his wife had bad breath? HELL NO.... You would never hear the end of it. So, is it really necessary to shave, just so she isn't uncomfortable when she kisses him?
I'm sure this sounds retarded... but it's just really starting to bug me. Be grateful for what you have, and show your loved one that you ARE grateful, by not being a nag. Men, grow some damned testicles... don't jump at every command... remember, no ONE person is in control... this is a team effort.

Must have MORE!
Not a whole lot to report this evening. Still haven't touched my truck to see what's wrong with it. I'll probably get to it on Monday. I got some finals coming up. Two of them to be exact, so I'll probably study for them the day before... like a good procrastinator, lol.
Anyway... Dirt the Scurt (His blog is located in my links list to the right) has an AMAZING therapeutic website posted on his blog. You should check it out -- Look for the blog entitled, "Who likes Bubble Wrap?!" I was really surprised at how relaxing it was.
Enjoy!

Well, that's a bit odd....!
Since I work the shift that I do, I'm not able to take advantage of the few perks that we get around here. Specifically, the really nice cafeteria that is open during normal business hours. EXCEPT, for Monday. Monday is the day that I look forward to.
Yes... Yes, I know that this sounds a bit odd, but considering I cram 40 hours in at my job from Friday to Monday, Monday is essentially my Friday. (Wow, that was a confusing sentence) In addition to it being the last day of my work week... it's also the day that I not only get to work with other people, but I'm actually working when the cafeteria is open.
So, after the early morning rush is done with... A couple of my co-workers and I, decide to swing by and grab something to eat. It was GREAT... I had an omelet, and toast, and bacon.
Approximately, 2 hours later, I was throwing up worse then I ever had before in my entire life. Oh, but it wasn't just one session... Nooooo, I barfed all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Yes... today is the first day that I haven't blown chunks. I swear I've lost 20lbs, my tongue is numb, my right eye is going blind, and I have nose & ear bleeds. Did I mention that I got a canker sore the size of a half dollar in my mouth? I would rather die then EVER throw up that much again. It was horrendous.
Well, to make matters worse, I'm driving home today... making a left hand turn into the bat-cave entrance. (This is a secret entrance to my house... That helps avoid traffic, etc.) when I noticed... as I neared my turn... that my brake was rather 'difficult' to push. I thought, "Well, that's a bit odd...." Then I looked down and noticed that my car was not on.... Yes, you heard me, the car was OFF.
What does that mean, class? No power steering, no power brakes, etc. It's amazing what that little battery helps one do, while driving. I mean you just really don't realize it, until you don't have it.
So, yah, I nearly run into the oncoming car, making a left, but managed to get my beast to a halt. Then I got out to push the stupid thing back out of the intersection cause I knew the light was going to change. Which lead me to another shocking realization.
I drive a medium sized SUV. It's really quite 'nimble' when the engine is pushing it around. But, I'm pretty sure the curb weight of that thing is over 3,000lbs. It really must have been amusing to the bastards behind me to watch me try to push this thing around. I could BARELY move it. It was SOOOO DAMNED HEAVY.
Anyway.... It's a decent truck, and it's been EXTREMELY reliable. I've NEVER had anything like this happen before. So, after I got it pushed as close to my home as possible, I recruited some roommates to help me push it the rest of the way. So, there she sits, in my driveway. Doesn't make a peep when you try to start it, no clicking... no nothing. It seems to me that it's likely that the alternator just went out. I'm REALLY hoping that's the case...at least it would be a quick fix... but I was WAY too tired, (from all my vomiting, work, and sleep deprivation) to even begin dealing with it. So, I went inside and was done for the day.
Wow, what a day. I'm tired thinking about it. *V*

The Relaxed Dork + 2 Smileys
As school nears it's end, I'm starting to relax. Amazingly enough, I don't even know if I'm going to pass all of my classes. This semester has just really kicked my butt. I'm not sure why.
After all, I only have 2 classes, that are every other day. That means ONE class a day. But for some reason, I am so burned out with school, that I slacked MAJORLY in both of my classes. If I pass, it'll be a miracle, but it will be a greatly appreciated miracle. I just need to get done with school. I've been in it WAY too long. I can't fathom doing my masters right after my Bachelors. I would seriously lose it.
So, back to what I was saying: I'm totally feeling more relaxed. It's really nice. I sleep at night, my hair is falling out at a slower rate, etc.
In addition, I'm going to screw these people over today, (the ones that ran into me) and call the police. I'm sick of them jerking me around. Not to mention, all of the great advice from my anonymous readers has added to my motivation. ;o)
I got a new notebook computer. I wasn't sure that I needed it, but so far I've ended up using it more then 'Sydnee' - my desktop machine. It's pretty nice, it's fast, capacious and mobile. It's an HP (not my favorite brand), but it's loaded pretty good. It's the DV1000 model for those interested. It's got a 1.7GHz Centrino, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, Integrated Graphics (yuck), nice 14.1 reflected wide-screen. Yay for me!
Mainly I got it for work, cause I need two machines at all times. One with Linux and one XP box.
I truly am a dork. I have gadgets like crazy - and love every one of them. BUT, I do have to admit, I have pretty good restraint. I only buy stuff that is a good deal... and I THINK I could possibly use. lol - Sorta. ;o)

Cluttered Utopia
Yah, so my room is utopia. It's full of stupid little things that serve no purpose other then to make me happy. In addition to that, it has my bed. Who doesn't love their bed? My hell... some of the best times of my life have been spent in my bed.
I called the chick that ran into me, and left a message concerning my car's repair costs. Naturally 3 days later, she hasn't called me still. Geez, these people have zero concept of consideration.
So, I was talking to my mom, and the most amazing thing in the world happened. Something that I didn't think really happened in real life. She started to get on my case about not getting married. I couldn't even believe it. I didn't think that was something that my parents even cared about.
I am just not interested in getting tied down like that right now. Just about everyone I know is not happy... or lives a life that I WOULDN'T enjoy. So, maybe I'm selfish and close minded, but at least I'm not jumping into something that I'm not really sure about -- only to be divorced in a couple years.
I'll get married when the right person comes up and knocks me on my ass. But, I'm not really going to actively go out searching for a mate.
Life is something to be enjoyed. For me, I need to work, play and leave enough time to think. Everything else is extra for me. For everyone else, these things seem SOO important. It'll happen when it's meant to happen.
This is my Cluttered Utopia. *V*

Ok, so maybe I'm a nut... but I really love getting into bed, to find out that my sheets are nice and cool. It's so refreshing to me. Not exactly sure why... or better yet, what on earth makes me think that my millions of readers would ever care about my preference of sheet temperature.
So, I've waited to the last minute once again to complete an assignment for school. I really do sincerely try to get things done quickly and efficiently... but I'm really starting to find that I just perform better when I'm under a bit of pressure.
For this assignment I have to design an web based interface for a "make-believe" health clinic, to handle all of their Appointment, patient Information, Report Generating processes. Pretty thrilling.
I got my truck checked out, and it's going to cost about $2600 to fix. So much for "bumping" into me. I guess I really should have said, "SLAMMED," during that first phone call.
I was listening to Dane Cook, the comedian earlier. Wow... what a funny bastard. He's a quite a bit more vulgar then Brian Reagen... but sometimes, you just gotta spit it like it is. He had me rolling on the floor.
Wow, after only three entries or so, I've finally created the most boring entry in the existence of blogs. Hmmm.. stay tuned to know more about my thrilling, everyday existence.

Ass-Face & My Tactless Message
I don't think that me calling this chick to get some more information about her and her 'so called insurance' is totally out of line. In fact, it seems to me to be a good idea.
So, I called her and naturally she doesn't answer. So, I leave a SUPER NICE message. I simply told her that I was the guy she had 'bumped' into the other night, and that if she could give me a call so we could discuss what she wanted to do, I would appreciate it.
Nice, right? I mean, I could have said, "SLAMMED" instead of "bumped." After all, she hit me so hard, the my FRONT bumper (in addition to the rear bumper) is all weirded out now. You have to REAR-end someone pretty hard to tweak their FRONT bumper.
So 10 hours later, I call again, this time a little more frustrated. I was still very nice, but let her know that I would like a call from her. I mentioned that it would make me feel a lot more comfortable know a little more about her.
Ok, so she STILL didn't call. Starting to get a little panicky... So I called again, and no answer. In attempts to protect her from the thoughts that I had towards her lack of consideration, I didn't leave a message.
FINALLY, after work yesterday, I was fed up. Who doesn't call the person THEY ran into for two days after that accident. Amazingly enough, my message was totally diplomatic, yet firm. I said, that I was starting to feel like she was going to screw me over, and that if I hadn't heard from her by 7PM yesterday, that I was going to call the police, and report her.
I said, "I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just want my truck fixed... and as far as I can tell, from my perspective, you're trying to avoid the situation." I finished with, "You ran into my truck, so you should pay for it."
Well, I went to sleep at noon. (Graveyard-Shift Bedtime) When I woke up, lo and behold... I had FINALLY received a message. Was it from her? Oooh... noooo... it was from Ass-Face, her husband.
He had the audacity to say that my phone call was "inappropriate." WHAT!? Not calling me for two days is inappropriate, you stupid fool. He proceeded to tell me that they had been busy and couldn't call me. Interesting -- A 2 minute call telling me that they would contact me on *Insert Day*, would be IMPOSSIBLE to make out of all the HOURS in a day.
Needless to say, the whole "I'm telling the police on you" comment apparently sparked their interest in cooperating with me. He wants me to price the damages and "get back with them." You bet your ass I will, buddy... spared no expense.
People are dicks. *V*

...I'm not sure what happened...
...after finishing my 'gotta get ready for work' ritual, I headed out to my truck to make the journey. As I drove down the road, towards the freeway I began to slip into the 'zone.'
Oh, you know what I'm talking about. How many of you are going to tell me, that you've never gotten to work in the morning (especially a job you've been driving to for years) and realized that you have no recollection at all on how you got there. Its like the entire car ride TO work was wiped completely from your mind. That is the 'zone.'
Anyways... came to a red light... and proceeded to switch my CD. Then "BAM!" Yes, you guessed it. My CD didn't make it into the player. Some idiot rear-ended me. Did I mention that this is the second time in a year?
So, I get out of my car, and do the typical, "Are you ok?" thing, and naturally check my truck out. Steal Truck Bumper vs. Plastic Wussy Bumper -- yes the outcome was as expected. My bumper was shifted down and slightly bent. Her radiator was sitting in the back seat.
So, I ask her, "What were you doing?" Which is to say, "How the hell do you run into someone that is sitting at a red light... and has been for a minute or so?"
Her response was sort of shocking, "...I'm, um... I'm not sure what happened..."
Well, I figured I'd help her out, and explained, "How about I explain it to you, You ran into the back of my truck, at a red light."
Well, I was late, and didn't really feel like this was something that I wanted to stand in the road and discuss, so we traded minimal information and 'wham-bam thank you ma'am, I was gone.' (Mistake #1)
Call me crazy... but when you run into someone's vehicle, you'd think that it would be appropriate to call them, with more specific information, and details on how you would like to handle it. Well, this assumption was mistake #2. So, it's been over 24 hours later, and I haven't heard from the chick. I'm starting to think that I'm screwed.
No matter... I'm gunna give them till tomorrow -- if I still haven't heard from them, I'm gunna call the police. I'm guarantee there's a camera in that intersection. I have her name and number too, so I'm sure that we can track her lying butt down.
I can't be too harsh... this is partially my fault for not demanding more information from her. She claimed that she didn't have any insurance information (but swore she had insurance) and I just didn't even think about getting her license number, etc. *V*

The Birth
So, this is the birth of my blog.
It is bound to be an epic source of chaotic unrest, that will undoubtedly grab your attention, and shake it right out of your soul.
On the other hand, it's likely that no one will read it, and therefore it is sure to lose the dull luster that it has in my eyes...
